From the Crime Lab to the Beer Lab
The story of Greensburg's most scientific beer distributor.
Our Story
Mad Scientist Beer was founded by Mindy, a former DNA forensic scientist who swapped evidence for ales and brought the scientific method with her. The hypothesis was simple: Greensburg deserved a beer store with a huge selection, cold product, fair prices, and people who actually know — and love — what they sell.
Years of experiments later, the results are in. From our spot on Rt 66 at 990 N Main St, we stock hundreds of beers — from Miller, Bud, and Coors to the finest craft, import, and seasonal beers — alongside ready-to-drink cocktails, hard teas and seltzers, special-order kegs for every kind of party, and a wonderful selection of premium cigars.
We're a locally owned, independent shop, and it shows. Our staff trains constantly on what's new and trending in craft beer and microbrews, we take special orders, and we'll never point you at a shelf and walk away. We're in this for the love of beer — and the people who drink it.
The Lab Method
Three principles, rigorously tested.
Selection
Hundreds of beers, seltzers, and RTDs — singles to cases, domestic to import. If we don't have it, we'll do our best to order it.
Always Cold
Temperature control is science too. Grab-and-go cold beer, every day of the week.
